The Northern District was organized in 1924 and is one of eight districts comprising the GFWC Virginia Federation.
Currently we have 21 General Clubs, 1 Junior Club and 1 Juniorette Club with a combined membership of over 800.

Northern District Project: The maintenance of the gardens at GFWC Headquarters in D.C. continues to be a labor of love for the Northern District.
GFWC Signature Project: Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention: GFWC is a national leader in the fight to end domestic violence by raising awareness about this social issue.

The Woman’s Club of Loudounis celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Our project is to provide a book to kindergarten students in two or three Loudoun County Elementary Schools this fall.In order to meet our goal, we are asking for your help. You can assist us by donating to this cause by providing a book(s) from the attached list, donating monetarily so that we may purchase books, agree to spread the word thru your business/practice and perhaps collect books. We will provide a list and a box for your use. The Club has set up a registry with Amazon to make your donation even more convenient as they will ship directly to us. Fairfax Womans Club annual Fashionshow and Luncheon
April 27 11:30pmThe proceeds from this luncheon will fund scholarships for seniors who are planning to attend a college or university in Virginia. The luncheon will feature fashions by Chico's of Tyson's Corner and will have a silent auction. The cost is $40 per person and will be held at the American Legion Post #177 in Fairfax City. GFWC Western Fairfax County Woman’s Club presentsMurder Mystery Dinner Theatre – a 1920s whodunit presented by Murder Mysteries Will Travel – at P.J. Skidoos in Fairfax on Saturday, May 11. This is a fundraiser for our club scholarship fund. The cost is $60 per person, which includes the meal, entertainment, tax and gratuity. We are offering a choice of four entrees: broiled salmon with lemon-butter sauce; pasta primavera with marinara sauce; grilled chicken breast stuffed with spinach, cheese and mushrooms; or prime rib. The meal includes a salad to start, chocolate mousse for dessert, and coffee or tea. A cash bar will be available for other beverages. Reservations are required. 2019 GFWC Annual Convention BROADENING OUR HORIZONSJune 29-July 1 The clubwomen of the Texas Federation are hosting the 2019 GFWC Annual Convention and anxious to welcome you to the Lone Star State from June 29-July 1 at the JW Marriott Austin. Pre-Convention tours are planned for you to visit various sites in and around the city of Austin. Convention will officially begin with the Opening State Flag Ceremony, followed by business sessions to act on proposed Resolutions and Bylaws. For celebration, there will be awards to honor your successes and accomplishments. There will be speakers, exhibits, vendors, partner networking, a service project, and raffles. We look forward to seeing you soon in Austin!
